Are you struggling inside because you have the desire to be, do and have so much more than you do now? You want to shine, to live life to it's fullest and to be rich. The desire burns like a fire within you but you push it aside as a foolish dream that will never come true. You resign yourself to mediocrity like the masses.
You are a child of God, thus you have potential beyond anything you can imagine.
In the Book of Mormon, 3rd Nephi 7:21 it reads, “for the works which ye have seen me do that shall ye also do; for that which ye have seen me do even that shall ye do.” Jesus is telling us that we have the power within us to do as He did during his earthly ministry. He's telling us we have it within us to perform miracles! If we can perform miracles like those of Christ, certainly we can create the life we dream of.
Let me show what I've learned so you can tap into that divinity and:
- be your best self and be happy, or whatever you desire
- do everything you've ever dreamed of doing
- have the relationships and riches you desire
Hi, I'm Tammy Graham. I'm a stay-at-home homeschooling mom to four young children. That is all I thought I'd ever be, that's all I ever believed I could be and wanted to be, until I learned that I can be that and much more, and yes at the same time.
I was raised and taught probably similar things as you were. I'm from a broken home. My parents saw only lack and believed only a few lucky others could be, have and do what ever they wanted. Consequently I internalized my parents beliefs.
At the age of 31 I found myself with four small children, living in a small home in a questionable area, living paycheck to paycheck. I spent my free time worrying about finances, worrying about what we would do if X happened. Seriously, I believed that worrying was preparing us better for a future of lack and constant financial crises. At least then I'd be expecting the crisis that I knew was coming and perhaps I'd be better prepared to handle it. I also experienced feelings of shame and embarrassment in the knowledge that I am in raising my children with such lack when there is abundance all around us. Deep down I knew things could be better for us, I just didn't know how.
Have you ever felt you had to do it all on your own? I did…
…and that was my problem. I felt that I had to do everything, for me that included running the home, caring for and homeschooling the children, taking care of finances, and now to provide financially. I resented that. I didn't want to, I believed I shouldn't have to. That belief lead me to act in an abhorrent manner. I manipulated and coerced my husband in an attempt to get him to gain better employment, or get another job or something! I saw no way for me to do it all, yet I saw that as my only option. Manipulate my husband into doing it, me do it, or continue living a life of financial lack.
Then I realized something...
It's something I'd heard a million times before. I don't have to do it all by myself. I don't have to, and I have no right to manipulate, coerce, force or otherwise exert my influence over someone to get them to do it for me. I can have it all by inviting and accepting God's help. Jesus wants to help us. He tells us in the New Testament, Matthew 21:22 “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”
I opened myself to revelation and I invited God to help me.
First I asked God for forgiveness in how I resisted inspiration for so many years, and for how I treated others, especially my husband. Then I opened myself to revelation and I invited God to help me. I am now loving my husband unconditionally and allowing him to grow at his own pace. My mind has gone from focusing on forcing and blaming my husband to looking at myself, seeing where my fault in this situation is and deciding to do something about it. I'm still play all my roles, but a way has opened up for me to do more.
In the New Testament, Matthew 4:6 it says, “He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up.”An angel will not do for me what I can do for myself. Like God, they will help us when we have done all we can do. I decided to “do for myself” and invite God and his angels to help me do more. As I have become a better person I have seen positive changes in my husband. The saying goes the rising tide lifts all ships.
